MANUEL CRESTANI

Manuel Crestani is an Italian glassblower from the Veneto region of Italy. Born on March 20th, 1978 in Marostica, near Venice, where glassblowing has deep roots as an art form. Manuel, influenced by the creativity happening in his territory, started to learn glass-blowing at the tender age of fifteen. He began to learn this craft at the Gocce Soffieria, where he remained from 1994 until 2001. After this experience, he switched gears and moved to Milan, Italy to work as a runway model for several years. He walked catwalks for major names such as Missoni, Fendi, and Calvin Klein, to name a few. After this period in his life, he decided to move back home, to continue to hone his craft. Manuel developed his creative ideas in an unconventional way, working for Massimo Lunardon, a renowned glass artist, from 2007 until 2019. Working under master Lunardon, Manuel is able to push the limits of conventional glass blowing and really explore the more creative parts of the process, producing unique pieces. In the exceptional year of 2020, under exceptional circumstances of living under a worldwide pandemic, Manuel decided to take the plunge and to open his very own glass-blowing business, where he collaborates with various Italian designers, and continues to perfect his art.
